Waterlooplein, Lapangan Banteng
Nederlandsindie.com – Berjalan-jalan di jantung Waterlooplein, yang ditata sebagai park di Batavia. Di sekitarnya berdiri bangunan kolonial bergaya neoklasik, seperti bekas gedung vrijmetselaar (freemason, red) dan de Volksraad (Gedung Pancasila). Tempat ini kini disebut Lapangan Banteng.

My name is Peter Frissen. I am writing a novel about the time my father was in Indonesia from 1947 to 1950. He has left me many photos. One of them is a picture of a cinema called ‘Capitol’. On the internet I found that there was a cinema with that name in DJakarta. But maybe there were cinemas with that name in other cities.
